Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Cancer Registrar I

Role Overview
- Review electronic medical records (EMR) to determine eligibility for accessioning into the Cancer Database.
- Abstract demographic, clinical, pathological, therapeutic, and epidemiologic data following established oncology data collection standards (ACoS/CoC, SEER, AJCC, NYS DOH, MSKCC).
- Ensure timely and accurate accessioning of malignancies and reportable diseases into the cancer registry database.
- Maintain high data quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Abstracting experience at a COC-accredited hospital
- Current CTR or ODS-C certification required
- Strong knowledge of oncology data collection standards (SEER, AJCC, CoC, NYS Reporting).
- Experience working with Metriq and/or EPIC preferred but not required
Core Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-O coding
- Ability to work independently and remotely,
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to utilize the Internet for research.

- Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday
- Reporting to: Manager II, Cancer Registry
- Pay Range: $31.44-$48.77
